Mimosa Isomäki – FOREVER
6th – 30th of April 2024
Vernissage on 5th of April from 17.00 to 20.00 o’clock
Observations merge together, begin to live and layer, telling stories of the life of a person navigating the modern world filled with faded memories and confused emotions. At the moment Mimosa Isomäki draws a lot of material for their work by observing the ever changing city, its slow and inconspicuous phenomenons, structures and processes revealed beneath the surface. This is their main playground, something that one could call concrete phenomenology.
Through the works in the exhibition, Isomäki ponders questions related to the sensory stimuli of the built urban environment. Things and places disintegrate. It’s loud and there’s so much to see. Is it possible to find order and peace of mind in the chaos of the city by diving deep into its core? How does it really work; building resilience and calming the nervous system through painting?
Mimosa Isomäki is a painter from Helsinki. They recently graduated from Vapaa Taidekoulu and have taken part in numerous gallery and DIY group shows in Finland. Their works have been acquired by dozens of private collectors as well as Seppo Fränti’s collection.
